Hop Union Brewery will be at this years Bristol Craft Brew Festival: Get ready to dive into new flavours, make new friends, and to definitely drink some beer.
The Festival
Saturday 30 August 2025, from 1 pm to 6 pm at Document is not just a festival. It’s a boozy, bottomless, live music, street food, confetti cannon-tossing, five hour celebration of local beer.
Yes, the team making these festivals call the traditional “tokens at the bar” festivals boring. So they set out to do something new. That means no token limits at this festival.
What's involved:
- Bottomless beer, cider, wine, prosecco, non-alcoholic drinks to choose from
- A souvenir glass to keep, a programme to follow, and plenty of time to meet the brewers behind your favourite beers, and time to discover some new ones too
- Live acoustic music, pop-up quizzes and games, bands, confetti cannons, and more
- Upgrade to VIP for private entry 30 minutes early and a private bar, exclusive lanyard and tote, and first dibs on seating
- Limited seating for a more intimate festival experience. You’ll be able to get close enough to the brewers to ask questions, have in-depth conversations, and truly get to know them
- An inclusive, safe festival with a professional team on hand to look after you from beginning to end
Sustainibility
We go so far as to call this the UK’s first plastic-free (real, refillable) glass-bottomed festival, one that takes its pledge to run professionally and with your experience as a priority.
Sustainability is a real focus for Hop Union, and there’s a distinct festival match in that, as well as in our beers. They're about being creative, Bristolian, authentic, and community-led. The kind of small brewery the festival was set up to connect people to in the first place.

What We Brew
Hop Union’s beers are bold, fresh, with those authentic West Country vibes we love. Hop-heavy, with refreshing fruity undertones or pastry-worthy malty richness. Why not sample a pint of the Bonville Pale or Alpha Centauri and meet the brewers behind it.
Have a chance to ask them about the process of making the beer and what it is about Bristol, that makes it feel like home. It’s not often you get to speak to those who have helped make the places and things you love to drink and be part of. Enjoy their brews and talk over a pint.
Round off with some street food, then try your hand at the pop-up quiz or soak up an acoustic set. Keep it going by adding VIP to the mix: you’ll get in early, get the best seats, and enjoy some heady, brewery-premier pours.
Festival Itinerary
1.00 pm: Doors open and start the day by collecting your souvenir glass and festival programme.
1.10–2: 00 pm: Head to Hop Union’s stand and hear about their take on brewing with a refreshing pint.
2.00–3: 00 pm: Try something new from the festival’s selection of ciders, prosecco, or non-alcoholic beers, and pair it with some delicious street food.
3.00–4: 00 pm: Join a pop-up quiz or just soak up some acoustic sounds. Make some new memories with friends.
4.00–5: 00 pm: As things get underway, the party atmosphere comes out. Bands, games, and more. Confetti cannons are involved, so expect to be covered.
5.00–6: 00 pm: Round off the evening and pop back to chat with some more new friends (that brewer you love on socials) and enjoy one more glass.
